We’ve gone digital

We’ve launched a fabulous new digital version of PDSA News. If we’ve got your email address, you'll receive the new-look version. It’ll save us money on mailing a printed copy and instead we can use those funds to treat more sick and injured pets across the UK. If you'd like to receive the digital version please send your name and your email address to internal.comms@pdsa.org.uk. If you're a volunteer, let us know where you're based.

Voices for Vets

Voices for Vets are an acapella choir who got together at Head Office with the aim of singing for the public to raise awareness and funds. The members came from across the charity including Retail, HR, IT, Fundraising, Design and Finance and all had one thing in common – they said they couldn’t sing. But they rehearsed hard to prepare for their first public performances in Birmingham, Shrewsbury and Telford singing Christmas songs. Most of them had never sung in public before; but worked through their nerves in order to raise money for our cause.

Molly, Max and JJ

Super dogs Molly, Max and JJ have all hit the headlines after being honoured with our prestigious Animal Awards. We presented the PDSA Order of Merit to Molly (pictured), a family pet turned assistance dog, that’s shown outstanding devotion to her owner Lucy Watts from Essex. Meanwhile Police Dog Max, from Gloucestershire, and Police Dog JJ from the West Midlands have both been awarded PDSA Commendations. Max was awarded his for using his superb tracking skills to locate a vulnerable woman who went missing in bad weather, while JJ also received his honour for tracking down a knife-wielding robber.
